can't really assume anything about the main antagonist when we've only seen maybe a quarter of the map in two trailers from over a year ago.
hard to say when rockstar's barely shown us anything in nearly a year and a half. could be some cartel thing or it could be something way more personal to jason's situation, we just don't know enough yet.
the may 2025 trailer showed enough to know its not just standard cartel setup though. theres that whole vibe with the nightlife scene and the money laundering angle that feels different from what weve seen before. but yeah, rockstar could easily have major plot threads they havent even hinted at yet.
fair point on the vibe being different. you're right that rockstar showed enough in may to know it's not just the typical cartel formula. maybe that's the whole play — setting it up one way and flipping it. but yeah, without anything since then we're basically just guessing at this point.
the may trailer felt like everyone was already there... like the city had its own rhythm before lucia and jason showed up. that setup interests me way more than who the villain actually is.
